Single Adult Ministries

Single Adult Ministries is a fellowship that provides the opportunity and encouragement to single adults (whether never married, divorced, or widowed) for getting acquainted with other singles for the purpose of reflecting, discussing issues, studying God’s Word, singing, praying, interacting, resting, traveling, and enjoying God’s great outdoors.

The goal is to assist singles in viewing their needs as opportunities that can be faced and met successfully in Christ and to love each other as God loves us.

Our special feature is a Comedian and we'll have lots of other activities to get us mixing and mingling.

Since we do not have a treasury, we would like to ask who would be willing to contribute the following for the Valentine's party. Please email your contribution to Sis Marsha McLean at mclean_marsha@yahoo.com or call at 281) 923-3739.
  1. One large bouquet of Valentine's balloons (To bring with you to the restaurant): Two people to share cost.
  2. Two "Heart-shaped" Valentine's Cakes (bring with you--Can get at Kroger's, Wal-Mart, HEB, Sam's bakeries, I believe): Four or five people to share cost.
  3. Two bud vases of "fresh" red roses (bring with you--Can get at Kroger's): Four people to share cost.
  4. Valentine's "dessert" paper plates with matching napkins (40): Two people to share cost.

Hello, Adventist Singles!

 

Just want to remind you about two great events for 2009! 

The first one is the 2nd Biennial ASAM (Adventist Single Adult Ministries) National Convention taking place – July 2-4, 2009.  The location is fabulous Newport Beach, California.  For more information, go to www.adventistsingleadultministries.org

 

The second GREAT event takes place just after the convention – a 4-day Baja California (Mexico) cruise from July 6-10!  The ship is the Paradise and it leaves from Los Angeles Harbor—just a short 20 miles from the hotel in Newport Beach!  The cruise is sponsored by the Pacific Union Conference, and our speaker will be Arnold Trujillo, Union liaison for ASAM-PUC. 

During the convention you’ll be attending meetings without much opportunity to get to know other singles in depth.  But on the cruise, you can really get to know each other—even if you come from different parts of the country!  Perhaps you will want to keep in touch later with that new friend! 

 

Another reason you should not miss this cruise—you can make your California trip a real vacation! You may have spent quite a bit for air fare from your home to Los Angeles (LAX) to attend the convention which will be over late Saturday night.  Then what?  On Sunday you can go sightseeing in the area.  You’ll be in the heart of everything in Southern California! 

Then on Monday, July 6, we’ll have several chartered buses ready to take our group to the ship where you’ll have 4 days of fun, sightseeing and togetherness on the cruise with other Adventist singles.  What a vacation you will have next year!
